Valeriy ODNOROB
Valeriy was born in the village of Yaseneve, Okhtyrka district, Sumy region. He joined the Kremenchuk locomotive depot after graduating from the Kremenchuk College of Transport Infrastructure in May 2017 as a locksmith for inspection and repair of locomotives at technical maintenance points of the 4th category, where he worked until being drafted for mandatory military service.
On December 12, 2018, Valeriy was called up for military service. In June 2019, he extended his service under a contract for a period of 3 years. The war found Valeriy in the village of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. He served as a scout. During a reconnaissance mission, he was struck by a bullet from an enemy sniper. Valeriy died on March 9, 2022, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission in the Luhansk direction.
His colleagues remember him as energetic, conscientious, diligent, and disciplined, with high demands on himself. He had a calm, composed, and friendly character, and was tactful in communication. He dreamed of marrying his beloved girlfriend, but the war forever shattered his plans and happy future.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Valeriy is survived by his mother and father, who is also defending the homeland.
The team at the Kremenchuk locomotive depot deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero Valeriy!
The Kremenchuk locomotive depot of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" shares the indescribable pain of Valeriy's family, who remained faithful to his oath until his last breath.
