Valeriy Spitsin
Valeriy was born in the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region, and later lived in Pervomaiske. He dedicated 27 years of his life to the railways, starting his career in 1996 and achieving the position of foreman for current maintenance and repair of tracks and artificial structures of the 6th category in the Lozova track distance.
Colleagues remember him as a true master with "golden hands," who could find a solution to any situation, hardworking and conscientious in his responsible work. In peaceful life, he was knowledgeable, loved the land and nature, had a beehive, and passionately engaged in viticulture.
In August 2023, Valeriy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His comrades remember him as responsible, balanced, and devoted to his brothers-in-arms, a person you could rely on. For Valeriy, family was the highest value, and he was an example of strength, kindness, and justice for his wife and two daughters.
48-year-old Senior Sergeant Valeriy Viktorovych Spitsyn, of the assault company, was killed on October 8, 2023, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Makiivka in the Svatove district of Luhansk region.
Valeriy is survived by his wife and children.
