Vasyl KRYNYTSKYI

Vasyl Oleksandrovych was born on January 17, 1991, in the village of Ozeriany in Volyn. His life was filled with sincere faith, love for his homeland, travel, and deep devotion to his family and Ukraine.

Vasyl began his career in railway transport in 2010. Over more than seven years of diligent work, he established himself as an exceptionally responsible, reliable, and dedicated specialist. Thanks to his professionalism and friendly nature, he earned undeniable authority and deserved respect among his colleagues.

His patriotism and strong character manifested from the very first days of the great war. On February 25, 2022, Vasyl Oleksandrovych voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a shooter-assistant to the grenade launcher in the 3rd mechanized battalion of military unit A4712. Bravely and selflessly, he participated in fierce battles in the most challenging areas of the front in the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region.

On November 26, 2023, during the execution of another combat mission near the settlement of Robotyne, communication with Vasyl was lost. For two years and five months, his family, friends, and colleagues lived in deep anxiety and hope. It was only in the spring of 2026 that DNA testing officially confirmed the most painful truth: the Hero had died in that battle, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of his homeland until his last breath.

Vasyl Oleksandrovych is survived by his wife and child. The family lost a loving husband and caring father, while colleagues and friends lost a person of great spirit. All who knew Vasyl will forever remember him as cheerful, joyful, sincere, and always ready to help. His deep faith in God and boundless love for Ukraine will remain a bright beacon for us all.

The railway community expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of Vasyl Krynytskyi. We share this unspeakable pain and bow our heads in honor of our colleague-hero's feat. His bright memory will live on forever.
