Viktor KHRUNYK

Viktor was originally from the village of Klyucharki, Mukachevo district, Zakarpattia region. He dedicated his life, which lasted 27 years, to the railway. He started working in February 1996 at the Mukachevo unit of the militarized guard, where he held the position of head of the shooting team at the Batyovo sorting station until his mobilization. He signed a contract for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 13, 2021.

Colleagues remember Viktor as a reliable friend and a true professional. He was the soul of the team, always ready to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, he devoted a lot of time to his household and was building plans for the future. He was a loving husband and father who always cared for his family.

Viktor Khrunyk bravely lost his life on April 24, 2023, during a battle for the freedom and independence of Ukraine near the settlement of Vilnyansk, Zaporizhzhia region, fulfilling his military duty.

He is survived by his wife and child.
