Vitaliy Andrusenko was born in the city of Podilsk (formerly Kotovsk) in the Odesa region. He studied at the local school No. 3. In his youth, he was involved in sports and attended a Greco-Roman wrestling section. He continued his education at the Kotovsk Professional Lyceum. Later, he enrolled in the Konotop Industrial-Pedagogical College of Sumy State University. He obtained his higher education at the National Agrarian University in Sumy region.

In October 2010, he began working at the production unit of the "Podilsk Railway Distance" of the regional branch of "Odesa Railway." He started as a tractor driver. Through perseverance, he worked his way up to positions such as master of operation and repair of machines and mechanisms, chief mechanic, and foreman (dismissed) at the mechanical workshop of railway transport enterprises.

In 2015, Vitaliy joined the State Border Guard Service. He defended his homeland in the hottest spots of the front: in Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions (near Chasiv Yar). His last battle took place in the Sumy region.

The 38-year-old border guard Vitaliy Andrusenko was killed on October 10, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kursk direction. The war took both of Vitaliy's parents' children (his sister was killed on the first day of the full-scale invasion).

"First with honor!" — this was Vitaliy Andrusenko's motto. He established himself as a responsible and fair leader, earning the respect and authority of both his subordinates and superiors. Comrades remember him as a true friend, someone they could always rely on.

Vitaliy is survived by his wife Olena, a long-awaited daughter, Margarita, who was born in June 2024, and elderly parents. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

The team of the Podilsk Railway Distance deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and Hero!
