Vitaliy PECHENYUK

Vitaliy was born and lived in the city of Kozyatyn, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Kozyatyn Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport. In 2018, he began working on the railway at the Kozyatyn Electric Supply District, serving as a 3rd category electric network fitter in the contact network area of the Kozyatyn station.

In June 2020, Vitaliy was drafted for mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 14, 2022, he signed a contract to serve in the armed forces, working as an assistant grenade launcher in the 1st squad of the 2nd platoon of the operational assignment company of the National Guard of Ukraine.

He was energetic, positive, hardworking, and a loyal friend. He loved driving cars and motorcycles.

21-year-old soldier Vitaliy Pechenyuk was killed on March 20, 2022, during combat operations in the city of Volnovakha, Donetsk region.

He was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.

His mother, Natalia Dmytrivna, is left without a son.

The team at the Kozyatyn Electric Supply District of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the loss of their young and energetic colleague. Vitaliy Pechenyuk, who loved technology and life, heroically fell at the age of 21 while defending Ukrainian land in Volnovakha. We express our heartfelt condolences to his mother, Natalia Dmytrivna. His dedication, loyalty to his comrades, and the posthumous award will forever be a memory of the Hero!
