Vitaliy SEMEKHIN
Vitaliy Semekhin was born and lived in the village of Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region. In 2001, he graduated from the Kupiansk Transport College with a degree in "Maintenance and Repair of Vehicles and Engines," obtaining the qualification of a technician-mechanic. Vitaliy worked as a fifth-grade electric gas welder at the Kupiansk locomotive depot of the Southern Railway.
On January 5, 2022, he enlisted in the military under a contract. He served in the ground forces and received honors for "Defending Kharkiv" and "Troops of the Territorial Defense of Kupiansk."
Fighter Vitaliy Semekhin was severely wounded on December 2, 2024. He sustained a serious head injury in the Vovchansk direction while defending the northern borders of the Kharkiv region. On February 14, 2025, the 43-year-old soldier died from his injuries in a hospital in Chernivtsi.
Colleagues describe Vitaliy as a true patriot of his country, responsible, fair, a pillar and support for his family, and a loving father. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Vitaliy is survived by his son. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
