Vladislav SHLYAKHOVYI

Vladislav was born on November 19, 1983, in the village of Kopyly, Poltava district, Poltava region.

Since March 2016, he worked on the railway as a trackman of the 2nd category at the "Track Distance of Odesa-Sortuvальна Station." At work, he established himself as a disciplined, hardworking, and attentive employee, a wonderful person, and a professional.

Vladislav defended Ukraine from the first years of the invasion. In November 2016, he volunteered for the ATO. In April 2022, he renewed his contract. His father recalls: "My son loved life very much, which is why he went to the front... He dreamed of independence for future generations... During his service, he saved more than one comrade, pulling them out of the line of fire when they were wounded." Colleagues remember: "Vitaliy was a true patriot, saying that every man is obliged to defend Ukraine."

Lieutenant of Infantry Vladislav Anatoliyovych Shlyakhovyi was killed on May 14, 2022, while defending Ukraine from the Russian Federation. On June 1, 2022, his father received the notification of his death.

After his death, Vladislav Shlyakhovyi was survived only by his retired parents.

The team of the Track Distance at Odesa-Sortuvальна Station of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. This hardworking trackman became an infantry lieutenant who consciously and courageously defended independence, saving his comrades on the front lines. His boundless love for life and desire to see a free Ukraine serve as a moral example. We bow our heads in honor of his sacrifice!
