Volodymyr BERDNYK

Volodymyr Hennadiyovych Berdnyk was born in the village of Novyi Kremenchuk, located in Dnipropetrovsk region. At the end of 2021, he began working on the railway as a 3rd category trackman for the Dolynska track distance of the regional branch "Odesa Railway." His work experience in the railway sector totaled 3 years.

Volodymyr had military experience: from February 2017 to February 2020, he served under contract and held a Combatant Certificate. On the sixth day of the full-scale invasion, March 1, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In May 2023, Volodymyr was demobilized and returned to work. On September 26, 2023, he signed a contract for further military service, voluntarily refusing to be exempted from duty.

Volodymyr was killed on January 14, 2025, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Colleagues remember him as a disciplined and responsible worker who quickly earned the respect of his team.

Volodymyr is survived by his parents, wife, and three children. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
