Volodymyr Feshchenko
Volodymyr was born in the village of Shevchenkove in the Zhytomyr region. In 2015, he tied his fate to steel tracks, beginning his journey as a platform controller (ticket inspector) at the Borodyanka station.
For over 11 years, Volodymyr dedicated his life to the railway industry, working in the suburban passenger transportation service of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Colleagues remember him as an extraordinarily kind, responsible, balanced, decisive, and hardworking person. He was respected for his high professionalism and genuine humanity. His presence in the team always instilled confidence, and his sincere support strengthened faith in their common cause.
On February 21, 2024, Volodymyr exchanged his civilian railway uniform for a military one and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held himself with dignity in the ranks, proving to be a true warrior—unyielding in battle, a loyal comrade, and a patriot who never backed down from difficulties and remained on the front lines until his last breath.
On December 1, 2024, during an enemy shelling in Donetsk region, the life of the railway warrior was tragically cut short. Defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, he fulfilled his duty to the end.
The Hero is survived by his family and loved ones, for whom this loss has become an unspeakable, profound pain.
The team of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest and sincerest condolences to Volodymyr's family, friends, and comrades. We share this great sorrow, bow our heads in deep mourning, and pay tribute to his military and civilian heroism. The bright memory of our colleague and Hero will forever live in our hearts.
Eternal memory and honor to the Defender of Ukraine!
