Volodymyr Holubtsov
Volodymyr was born and lived in the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region. He received a secondary education and worked for 26 years on the railway. He was a sixth-grade crane operator (on railway tracks) at the Popasna Track Machine Station of the "Center for Track Construction and Repair" branch.
In January 2021, Volodymyr enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract. He served in a mechanized battalion as a BMP commander. He was respected both in civilian life and in service. According to his comrades, he was a reliable friend and a professional in his field, unafraid to take on responsibility and make decisions.
51-year-old Senior Sergeant Volodymyr Holubtsov was killed on March 16, 2022, near the village of Blahodatne in Donetsk region. His comrades referred to him as the best commander.
Colleagues and friends remember Volodymyr as a talented, disciplined, and exceptionally hardworking individual. He diligently carried out any tasks, constantly teaching the youth and sharing his experience with them. Volodymyr's legacy continues through his son Ilya, who worked as a track fitter at KMS-134, where his father had previously worked.
The team at the Popasna Track Machine Station of the "Center for Track Construction and Repair" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply honors the memory of Volodymyr Holubtsov, who was a highly qualified specialist and a wise mentor for the youth. He heroically fell as the best commander while defending Donbas. His 26 years of dedicated work and military heroism will forever be a source of pride for our team and his son Ilya. Eternal glory!
