Volodymyr Honcharov

Volodymyr was born on April 14, 1970, in the city of Kupiansk. In 2001, he joined the railway, where he worked his way up from a repair mechanic for rolling stock to a 4th category mechanic for inspection and repair of locomotives at the "Kupiansk Locomotive Depot."

Volodymyr's life was tragically cut short on September 10, 2022, due to shelling by the Russian Federation in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. He sustained injuries that were incompatible with life.

Colleagues remember him as a caring, friendly worker and a devoted father.

Volodymyr is survived by his wife and daughter.

The team at the Kupiansk Locomotive Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns alongside Volodymyr's family. The mechanic for inspection and repair of locomotives, who was a loving father and a compassionate colleague, tragically lost his life as an innocent victim of enemy shelling. The bright memory of our colleague will forever remain in our hearts.
