Volodymyr Kalashnikov

Volodymyr was born in the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. He obtained an education as a programmer and studied at the municipal economy college, planning to defend his diploma. He joined the Kupiansk signaling and communication distance team in August 2021, working as an electrician for the repair and maintenance of communication equipment and devices.

During this short time, he established himself as a disciplined and responsible worker, a reliable friend, and a true professional who was always ready to help his colleagues.

On the first day of the full-scale invasion, February 24, 2022, Volodymyr was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served in the engineering and technical troops.

Volodymyr was killed on April 16, 2023, near the settlement of Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region, demonstrating resilience and courage while carrying out combat missions to defend his homeland.

By a decree of the President of Ukraine, he was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree.

His loving mother is left without her son.
