Volodymyr Ostafiychuk
Volodymyr was born on September 4, 1994, in Tsybuleve. He graduated from the Zhmerinka Vocational School, obtaining a specialty as a "locomotive assistant." In 2012, he began working at the Koziatyn locomotive depot as a mechanic and later as a locomotive assistant.
In May 2020, Volodymyr signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He met the full-scale invasion on the front lines, serving as a driver in the anti-aircraft platoon of the anti-aircraft missile troops. The defender was full of energy and strength, selflessly protecting Ukrainian land and giving a worthy response to the enemy.
28-year-old soldier Volodymyr Ostafiychuk was killed on August 24, 2023 (on Ukraine's Independence Day) from shrapnel wounds near the city of Kurakhove in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
Volodymyr is survived by his parents and brother.
