June 16, 2026, became a fateful day for the Pavlohrad signaling and communication division. While returning from a hard shift at the Mykolaivka-Donetska station, a vehicle carrying railway workers was struck by a treacherous attack from an enemy FPV drone. Volodymyr's colleague, Volodymyr Cherevan, died on the spot.

Volodymyr Peletskyi sustained severe injuries. For nearly three weeks, doctors at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov and his family fought for his life. Unfortunately, on July 4, 2026, the railway worker's heart stopped.

Volodymyr dedicated over 30 years of his life to the railway, becoming a highly skilled specialist who knew and loved his work thoroughly.

Education: In 1987, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Industrial Technical School with a degree in "Electrical Technician."

In August 1993, he joined the Pavlohrad signaling and communication division (Dnipropetrovsk Railway).

He worked as an electromechanic in team No. 19 of the communication production unit. He ensured uninterrupted communication from the 5 km Junction to the Sloviansk and Petropavlivka stations.

In 2025, for his diligent work, he was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," which was personally presented to him by the Chairman of the Board, Oleksandr Pertzovsky.

With the onset of the full-scale war, Volodymyr Volodymyrovych repeatedly eliminated the consequences of hostilities, restoring critically important railway infrastructure at the risk of his life.

Oleksandr Tsapenko, head of the Pavlohrad division, said:

"He returned to his small homeland because he and his wife Natalia decided to build their family nest here. Our team gained a great specialist, a person who mastered his craft perfectly. The whole team was happy for him when he received the well-deserved award from Ukrzaliznytsia."

Igor Dudarev, chief engineer of the division, noted:

"The main trait of Volodymyr was that he was always ready to lend a hand, to help with any task. He did not divide work into his and others'. He stood shoulder to shoulder with us and assisted in the installation of equipment... And Volodymyr was always among the first to take on a task."

Volodymyr Volodymyrovych had not only golden hands but also a big, kind heart. Together with his wife Natalia, they built a home, planted a garden, and raised a wonderful daughter, Yuliya.

Less than a year remained until Volodymyr's well-deserved retirement. He dreamed of engaging in his beloved farming during retirement and was eager to spend time with his future grandchildren...

Daughter Yuliya Peletska recalls her father's last days:

"I spent the last weeks by my dad's side in the hospital room. When he regained consciousness, we talked about everything: his childhood, education, work, and reminisced about the moments that united our family. It was so poignant! It made accepting his death all the more difficult."
