Volodymyr PYRIH

Volodymyr worked at the Khodoriv railway distance of the "Lviv Railway" branch, where he mastered the skills of a fitter, track inspector, and signalman. Colleagues and friends remember him as a caring, kind person, a responsible and diligent worker.

In June 2023, Volodymyr was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the grenade launcher section of the fire support platoon of the 3rd Mountain Assault Company, successfully carrying out combat missions in the Kharkiv direction.

45-year-old soldier Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Pyrih, a grenade launcher, was killed in late December 2023 during a fierce battle with the enemy near the settlement of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region, suffering fatal injuries. The warrior returned "on his shield" to his native Hnizdychiv in the Lviv region.

For his heroism, Volodymyr Pyrih was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
