Volodymyr Vyshnyakov
Volodymyr was born in the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk (Kamianske) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Technical School for Locomotive Drivers. In 2005, he began working for the Dnipro Railway. Initially, he was a locksmith repairing rolling stock, then a foreman at the mechanized loading point for freight cars, and an inspector-repairman for freight cars at the technical maintenance point at the Kamianske station. His father, Yuriy Oleksiyovych, also worked there.
In the first days of the war, the railway worker went to the military enlistment office. He had completed his compulsory military service and participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). He served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar."
In his last phone conversation, Volodymyr told his colleagues: "The rashists are pushing forward, we are repelling the attack. But we will not give up Ukraine!" A few days later, Volodymyr stopped communicating. His parents searched for their son for five months, hoping until the last moment that he was alive, in captivity.
35-year-old soldier Volodymyr Vyshnyakov was killed on April 19, 2022, near Izium in the Kharkiv region. For some time, Volodymyr was considered missing. After the liberation of the Kharkiv region, his body was returned to his parents. On September 30, 2022, the warrior was buried with honors at the Alley of Heroes in the military cemetery in Kamianske.
Awards (posthumously): Order of "For Courage" III class, as well as the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine."
Volodymyr is survived by his father.
The team at the technical maintenance point for freight cars at the Kamianske station of the Dnipro Railway honors the memory of the Warrior. We deeply mourn this brave railway repairman, whose resilience and dedication to Ukraine were proven by his participation in the ATO and his heroic death on the front lines. His resolute promise, "We will not give up Ukraine!" has become his legacy. We share the indescribable pain with his father. Eternal glory and honor to our Hero!
