Vyacheslav HAVRYLENKO

Vyacheslav was born in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received a secondary education. In 2021, he joined the railway. He worked as a 4th category locksmith for the repair of rolling stock at the Kryvyi Rih operational wagon depot. Although he had not worked on the railway for long, according to his colleagues, he quickly adapted to the specifics of work at the wagon maintenance point at the Shmakove station, easily integrated into the team, and was a diligent and responsible worker.

On March 6, 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Just a few days later, the trainee of the training platoon of the self-propelled artillery division was killed during a missile strike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security (Yavoriv training ground) in Lviv region.

The team at the Kryvyi Rih operational wagon depot of the regional branch "Pridniprovsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this tragic loss. Vyacheslav Havrylenko spent only a few days in the military but gave his life in the fight for Ukraine. His life was brutally cut short by an enemy missile at the Yavoriv training ground. We remember him as a diligent colleague and a newly minted warrior. Eternal and bright memory to the Defender!
