Vyacheslav KURYHA

Vyacheslav was born and lived in Bakhmut. He worked as a guard in the "Administrative and Economic Service" of the regional branch of "Donetsk Railway."

49-year-old Vyacheslav Kuryha was killed on September 17, 2022, when he was caught in enemy shelling while at home in the city of Artemivsk (Bakhmut), Donetsk region.

Colleagues remember him as a sincere, hardworking, and disciplined employee who actively participated in the life of the team. His wife, Oksana Viktorivna, noted that he embodied the best character traits: strength, kindness, intelligence, and wisdom. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, an ideal family man. His brother, Ivan Vasylovych, added that Vyacheslav was a man of great stature, cheerful, caring, and a support for the family. In his last days, he reassured them, saying, "I will manage to leave, don’t worry…”

Vyacheslav is survived by his wife, daughter, granddaughter, and brother.

The team of Donetsk Railway at JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the tragic fate of their colleague. The guard, who was an ideal family man, a kind and wise person, died in his own home. His sincerity, care for his family, and innocent death are an unhealable wound for the railway family. Eternal glory!
