Yevhen ANTONENKO
Yevhen was born in the town of Slobidka in the Kodym district of Odesa region. For three years, he worked at the Odesa railway distance of the regional branch "Odesa Railway."
On the fourth day of the full-scale invasion, February 27, 2022, Yevhen joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but a treacherous shelling took his life in less than two months.
Yevhen was killed on March 18, 2022, as a result of a missile strike by the enemy on a military barracks in Mykolaiv.
Colleagues remember him as a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker.
Yevhen is survived by his son, mother, and sister.
The team at the Odesa railway distance mourns deeply over this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero.
The team at the Odesa railway distance of the regional branch "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses profound sorrow in memory of Yevhen. This responsible railway worker, who joined the defenders of the state without hesitation at the very beginning of the great war, paid the highest price due to the enemy's treacherous strike in Mykolaiv. His short but heroic path and example of devotion to the country will remain an unforgettable symbol of sacrifice for all who knew him. We share the indescribable pain with his son, mother, and sister.
