Yevheniy PRUS

Yevhen was born on February 1, 1999, in Koziatyn. After finishing vocational school, he obtained a railway profession and worked as a locksmith, later becoming an assistant driver of an electric locomotive at the Koziatyn locomotive depot. Yevhen also served in the National Guard of Ukraine.

On April 10, 2023, Yevhen Prus was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a reconnaissance sapper.

Friends and colleagues remember Yevhen as a caring, gentle, wise, reliable, kind, and fair man who faced all of life's situations with honor. He was a positive and responsible person who dreamed of having his own family and a happy future, but he did not have the chance to get married due to the war.

The 24-year-old reconnaissance sapper Yevhen Prus was killed on August 13, 2023, as a result of a confrontation with the enemy near the settlement of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. For a long time, he was considered missing in action and was identified through DNA testing on April 12, 2024.

Yevhen is survived by his mother.
