Yuriy BOLOBAN
Yuriy Boloban was born in the village of Tymchenky, Kharkiv Oblast. He lived in the city of Zmiiv. In 2006, he graduated from the Kharkiv Railway Transport Technical School with a degree in "Maintenance of Rolling Stock and Special Equipment of Railway Transport," obtaining the qualification of technician-electromechanic. Yuriy worked as a locomotive driver at the Osnova locomotive depot, dedicating nearly 24 years to his career on the railway.
On November 17, 2022, Yuriy joined the ranks of defenders of our homeland. He served as a second-category border service inspector – a grenade launcher in the fire support group of the "Kharkiv" border service department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
43-year-old Senior Sergeant Yuriy Boloban was killed on February 25, 2025, while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Sotnytsky Kozachok, Bohodukhiv District, Kharkiv Oblast.
Responsible and disciplined, he performed his duties excellently and was respected by his colleagues, they say.
Yuriy is survived by his wife and daughter. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
