Yuriy Kyryliuk

Yuriy was born in the village of Zdolbunytsia in the Rivne region. After completing his compulsory military service, he obtained an education at the Zdolbuniv Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport. Following his studies, he began working at the Zdolbuniv locomotive depot, initially as an assistant locomotive driver and later as a locomotive driver.

With the onset of the full-scale war, despite having a deferment, Yuriy voluntarily went to the military enlistment office. He served for two months in the security company before undergoing training. As part of the 10th Mountain Assault Kolomyia Brigade, sniper Yuriy Kyryliuk experienced his "baptism of fire" in Donetsk region, where his unit reinforced positions in Berestove.

41-year-old Yuriy Kyryliuk was killed on May 16, 2023, near the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region.

His family recalls that Yuriy was modest and patient, never complaining and not wanting to burden his family, concealing the hell he was enduring.

Yuriy is survived by his daughter Ulyana, mother, and sister.
