Yuriy Sukhoruchenko

Yuriy was born in the village of Kirova in the Donetsk region and lived in Sloviansk. He dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to working on the railway, serving as a 4th-grade centralization post operator at the Sloviansk station (a production and technological unit of the "Kramatorsk Station").

The life of 61-year-old Yuriy Sukhoruchenko was tragically cut short on September 20, 2023, during a shelling of the city of Toretsk at his family home.

Colleagues remembered Yuriy as an initiative-driven employee who approached his work with great responsibility and willingly shared his experience with young workers.

Yuriy is survived by his wife.

The team at the Sloviansk station of the Donetsk Railway mourns the memory of Yuriy Sukhoruchenko with deep sorrow. His initiative, dedication to work, and tragic death will forever remain our shared pain. May he rest in peace!
