Oleksandr's six-year-old son Matvii is the youngest victim of the enemy attack on Chaplyne! Matvii died on August 24, when the Russian occupiers arranged a bloody Independence Day for all Ukrainians. In total, the enemy made five missile attacks on Chaplyne village. The second one was fatal for Matvii. Then, in the village of Chaplyne, there was an unprecedented fire, many residential buildings were damaged. Among them is the house of the railway worker Oleksandr. Rescuers spent two days extinguishing the fire and conducting search operations.
Matvii's body was taken out from under the rubble by rescuers, there was no chance to save him. Oleksandr's family will restore the house with the help of fellow villagers and the railway. But it is impossible to return the life of their little son.
