Oleksandr LAVRENIUK
Oleksandr Viktorovych was born in the village of Kozyatyn, Kozyatyn district, Vinnytsia region. In 2005, he joined the railway family as a passenger train conductor, and in 2016, he became a fourth-class train movement regulator at the Kozyatyn I station in the Kozyatyn region of the Station Operations Service of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He worked on the railway for over 19 years.
Colleagues remember him as a diligent, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. "Oleksandr managed to complete his tasks and, when needed, help his colleagues," his mentor recalls. "He quickly earned respect not only among his peers but also from older, more experienced workers."
In the second month of the full-scale invasion, on April 21, 2022, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He dreamed of victory and hoped to return home soon to his wife and daughter, but the war shattered his plans and happy future.
Oleksandr was killed on December 2, 2024, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and daughter.
The team at Kozyatyn I station deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero.
