Yevhen VLASYUK
Yevhen was born on April 18, 1977, in the city of Koziatyn in Vinnytsia Oblast—a city with strong railway traditions that shaped his future. After school, he enrolled in Koziatyn Vocational Technical School No. 17, where he trained as a passenger train conductor.
Yevhen dedicated over 21 years of his life to the railway. His professional journey began in 2004 at the Fastiv Motor Car Depot, and from 2010, he became part of the team at the Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Station's Carriage Division. Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally hardworking, sincere, and kind person. Over the years, he traveled thousands of kilometers, providing care and comfort to passengers, earning the well-deserved respect of railway workers as a reliable friend always ready to help.
On October 11, 2024, Yevhen made a resolute decision—he voluntarily signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He chose one of the most dangerous military specialties, becoming a sapper in the engineering-sapper unit. Courageously and responsibly, he carried out complex tasks, risking his life daily for the safety of his comrades and the freedom of his homeland.
On March 31, 2026, the life of the soldier-railway worker was tragically cut short. Yevhen was killed in the vicinity of the village of Novooleksandrivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as a result of an enemy FPV drone attack. Until his last breath, he remained true to his oath, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Yevhen is survived by his wife and two minor children—a daughter and a son. The family lost a loving father and caring son, while the "iron family" lost a true Hero.
The team of the "Carriage Division of Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Station" of the "Passenger Company" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest condolences to Yevhen's family and loved ones. The bright memory of his courage, self-sacrifice, and kind soul will forever live in our hearts.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero!
