Andriy KOSYACHEVSKYI
Andrii Kosiachevskyi was born in the town of Holitsyn-2, Moscow Oblast, Russia. Later, his family moved to Ukraine, settling in the town of Voznesensk in Mykolaiv Oblast. Here, he completed his local school and in 2008 obtained a profession as a cook and pastry chef at the Voznesensk Professional Agrarian Lyceum. However, Andrii chose to pursue a career in the railway industry. In April 2016, he joined the Voznesensk railway distance of the regional branch "Odesa Railway," where he worked as a repairman of artificial structures of the 4th category. His work experience in the railway sector spanned about 6 years.
In June 2022, Andrii joined the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi.
34-year-old sailor-grenadier Andrii Kosiachevskyi was killed on February 16, 2025, as a result of enemy artillery shelling while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Sribne in Donetsk Oblast. For some time, he was considered missing in action.
Staff at Voznesensk Secondary School I-III No. 5, which Andrii attended, recall: "Always smiling, with an open heart and a kind soul, Andrii was never afraid of responsibility and was always ready to help even in his school years."
The defender was buried on March 13 in Voznesensk.
He is survived by his mother and son. We express our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
