Ihor Orlovskyi
Igor Vasylovych Orlovskyi was born on November 14, 1973, in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region. In 1991, he graduated from Ovruch Vocational Technical School No. 35, specializing as an electrician for rural electrification and communication.
He began his career on the railway in August 2000 as a lighting and lighting network installer of the 3rd category at the Korosten energy installation train No. 647 of the South-Western Railway. Working first in EP-647 and later in the production structural unit "Korosten Territorial Administration of the branch 'Center for Construction and Installation Works and Operation of Buildings and Structures'" of the joint-stock company "Ukrainian Railways," he advanced his qualification level from 3rd to 4th category thanks to his diligence and perseverance.
Like everyone else, Igor Vasylovych had plans for the future. But everything changed with the war... A true patriot of his homeland, Igor could not sit idly at home when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Without hesitation, he went to the military enlistment office, signed up as a volunteer, and bravely took up arms to defend his homeland, remaining faithful to his military oath and protecting the sovereignty, integrity, and independence of Ukraine as a driver in the 1st rifle squad of the 1st rifle platoon of the 2nd rifle company.
The hero died on June 24, 2025, from an explosive injury incompatible with life near the settlement of Dibrivka in the Sievierodonetsk district of Luhansk region.
In his work, he proved to be a conscientious, hardworking, and disciplined employee. He approached his work with integrity, continually improving his knowledge and practical skills, and was friendly and honest. Friends and colleagues remember him as a kind, honest, and cheerful person who would never leave anyone in trouble and would always lend a helping hand.
Sharing the sorrow with the family of the hero, we sincerely believe that his memory will live on in our hearts forever. The team of the Korosten Territorial Administration of the branch "Center for Construction and Installation Works and Operation of Buildings and Structures" deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to the hero!
