Ihor Tryapichkin
Ihor Vitaliyovych Triapichkin, a military serviceman and veteran of the railway security forces, gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine on May 8, 2025. A man of steel endurance and high officer honor, he dedicated over three decades to serving the state. His life is a testament to discipline, professionalism, and unwavering loyalty to his oath.
Ihor Vitaliyovych was born on June 23, 1968, in the city of Ukrainsk, Donetsk region. It was there, in the east of the country, that his character began to forge, which later became a support for many.
Most of his life was devoted to service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over 20 years in uniform instilled in him that rare trait—the ability to remain calm and act effectively in the most extreme situations. The military taught him responsibility not only for his own actions but also for the lives of his comrades. These qualities became defining for his entire future.
After completing his military service, Ihor Vitaliyovych chose Kharkiv region as his new home. In 2011, he joined the "iron family." He served as a third-class shooter in the cargo protection team. He worked at the Kupiansk-Sorting station of the Kharkiv military security unit.
At the strategically important hub in Kupiansk, he ensured the safety of transportation. Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally principled and attentive worker. His military bearing was evident in everything: from perfect order in documents to diligent patrolling of facilities.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Ihor Vitaliyovych did not remain on the sidelines. As a person with vast combat and life experience, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He stood to defend the state in its most difficult time. Unfortunately, the war is brutal: as of today, the exact circumstances and location of his death on May 8, 2025, remain unknown, which only underscores the tragedy and greatness of his sacrifice.
Eternal honor and deep sorrow
For the team of the Kharkiv military security unit, Ihor Triapichkin will forever remain an example of a true man—few words but effective, strict yet humane.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the Hero's wife, Natalia Viktorivna, as well as to all relatives and loved ones.
