Leonid YEVSIUKOV
Leonid Yevsiukov was born and lived in the town of Siversk, Donetsk region. He graduated from Lyman Vocational Technical School No. 119 with a specialty as a "locomotive assistant." He worked as a locomotive driver in the locomotive service section at Lyman station in the Sloviansk locomotive depot. He dedicated 34 years of his life to working on the railway.
55-year-old Leonid Yevsyukov was killed on January 29, 2025, in the yard of his own home as a result of enemy artillery shelling.
His wife, Natalia, recalls: "My husband loved his job very much; he used to go to work with his father, who was a locomotive driver. Leonid decided then that he would also become a driver. The word 'Motherland' was not just an empty phrase for him; he never left his post, he simply couldn’t." She also adds: "A true soulmate is not just someone who is next to you, but someone who fills your world with light, in whose gaze you find peace, and in whose embrace you find home. Thank you, God, for such a husband as Leonid, for he was a priceless gift." Colleagues remember: "Leonid was a decent and responsible worker, respected among people. He was very sincere, cheerful, polite, and knew his job well." In his free time, Leonid enjoyed hunting, weapons, and military equipment. He loved his friends very much.
The deceased is survived by his wife and 85-year-old mother. We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.
The team at Sloviansk locomotive depot deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague.
