Mykhailo TOLKACHOV
Mykhailo was born on May 8, 1991, in the village of Zorya, Pyatykhatskyi District, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
He studied at Pyatykhatska Secondary School No. 3, graduating in 2008. In 2009, he completed the Dnipropetrovsk Railway Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of electric locomotive assistant and rolling stock repair technician.
From 2012 to 2016, he worked as a 4th category rolling stock repair technician at the Pyatykhatske Car Depot. In December 2016, he joined the team at the Pyatykhatske Locomotive Depot, part of the "Dniprovskyi Locomotive Depot" branch of the "Locomotive Company," as a 5th category rolling stock repair technician. His total work experience in the railway sector was about 6 years.
From 2010 to 2011, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From August 2014 to August 2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
Since February 24, 2022, he had been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He initially served as a rifleman in the guard platoon of the Third Department of the Kamianske RTC and SP, and from May 2022, he held the position of anti-aircraft gunner in one of the detachments of the "Kholodnyi Yar" Brigade. He remained loyal to his military oath, steadfastly and courageously defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He was awarded the combatant medal twice.
He perished on March 28, 2025, during combat operations in the settlement of Klishchiivka, Bakhmut District, Donetsk Oblast. Mykhailo bravely defended his homeland and provided a worthy resistance to the occupiers.
He proved to be an experienced, technically skilled worker who diligently fulfilled assigned production tasks. He possessed high moral qualities and continuously worked on improving his technical knowledge and skills. He was respected among his colleagues.
Mykhailo is survived by his mother and father. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
