Oleg NEZHLUKCHENKO
Oleg was born in the village of Krasne Znamya in the Snihurivka district of Mykolaiv region. In 2018, he joined the railway family as a 3rd category track maintenance worker at the "Usatove Track Machine Station," a structural unit of the "Center for Track Construction and Repair" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He had 7 years of experience in the railway industry.
On the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Oleg enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of a reconnaissance platoon in an infantry battalion. He received awards such as "For Exemplary Military Service" and "War Veteran."
Oleg was killed on August 10, 2025, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity, freedom, and independence of Ukraine during military duties near the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. The brutal war shattered his plans and cut short his life.
Colleagues remember him as a positive, disciplined, and responsible worker. Oleg always helped his colleagues, never leaving anyone in trouble, and managed to complete his own tasks while being available to assist others when needed. He was a loving husband and father who, along with his wife, raised their daughter and dreamed of providing her with a quality education. He always stayed in touch with his family and found time to communicate with friends and colleagues.
Oleg is survived by his wife and daughter.
The team at the Usatove Track Machine Station deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero. We express our condolences to his family and loved ones.
