Oleg YUFIMCHUK

Дніпровське локомотивне депо
09.06.1982 – 23.05.2025

Oleg was born on September 6, 1982, in the village of Sivaske, Novotroitsky District, Kherson Region. In 2000, he graduated from Sivaske Secondary School, and later, in 2005, he obtained a higher education degree in philology, specializing in teaching the Ukrainian language and literature at Tavria National University named after Vernadsky. In 2010, he moved to the city of Pyatykhatky and continued his education, graduating from the Dnipropetrovsk Railway Lyceum. In May 2011, he joined the railway family as an assistant driver of an electric locomotive at the Pyatykhatky depot of the Dnipro Locomotive Depot branch of the Locomotive Company. He established himself not only as a disciplined worker but also as an initiative-taker capable of making responsible decisions on complex issues. He performed well not only in ordinary situations but also in challenging ones, always maintaining optimism, composure, and a positive attitude towards work and colleagues. Always balanced. Oleg is a true patriot of his country, constantly supporting the Ukrainian army. Sincere and kind-hearted. Oleg is incredibly loved by his family, wife, and friends. He dedicated 13 years of his life to the railway.

Since March 11, 2022, Oleg Borisovych served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He honestly and diligently fulfilled his military duty to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Unfortunately, war takes the best.

On May 23, 2025, Oleg was killed near the settlement of Kardashi in the Synelnykove District of Dnipropetrovsk Region while defending his homeland, suffering injuries incompatible with life. Oleg bravely defended his native land and gave a worthy resistance to the occupiers.

We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.

Oleg is survived by his wife, Olena Yuriyivna.

The team at the Dnipro Locomotive Depot deeply mourns this irreparable loss.
