Oleksandr BABUSHKIN

Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Babushkin worked as a 5th category electrical installer of the contact network in the production unit "Podilska Distance of Electric Supply" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway." He dedicated 13 years of his life to the railway.

He died on June 19, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission to protect the territorial integrity of his homeland, repelling and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in the combat zone near the settlement of Oleksiivka in the Sumy district of the Sumy region.

Oleksandr was born on November 4, 1990, in the town of Vapniarka, Tomashpil district, Vinnytsia region. From childhood, he was an open, sincere, and kind-hearted boy. He was passionate about sports, playing football and later engaging in strength sports. After finishing school, he enrolled in the Odesa Technical School of Railway Transport, where he obtained the qualification of "Electrical Installer of the Contact Network." In 2012, Oleksandr joined the railway family, becoming an electrical installer of the contact network at the Holta station.

Colleagues always remember him as a diligent, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. He quickly earned respect not only among his peers but also from older, more experienced workers.

Even during short vacations, Oleksandr found time to meet with his railway friends, asking about work and sharing frontline stories. He dreamed of marrying his beloved girlfriend, but the war shattered his plans and happy future.

In 2025, Oleksandr took up the defense of Ukraine and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he diligently and honestly fulfilled his duties. He gave his life defending Ukrainian land from the enemy, demonstrating courage, dedication to his homeland, and true love for his people. His heart stopped in the struggle for peace and freedom for each of us.

His loving parents are left behind.
