Oleksandr Kapusta
Oleksandr was born in Mykolaiv and spent his childhood in the village of Lotskyne in the Bashtanka district of Mykolaiv region. He was a true son of his land—devoted, strong, and hardworking. His life was closely connected to his homeland. After studying at the Mykolaiv Vocational Machine-Building Lyceum, he worked as a lathe operator at the scientific and production complex of gas turbine engineering "Zorya-Mashproekt," and later, after serving in the army, dedicated himself to the railway industry, working as a mechanic for rolling stock repair and a wagon inspector at the technical service point for wagons at Mykolaiv station, part of the wagon management service "Operational Wagon Depot Odesa-Zastava I" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway," where he established himself as an excellent specialist.
But the war changed everything.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr took up the defense of Ukraine. He was a true warrior: he held the defense of Mykolaiv region, participated in fierce battles on the Kinburn Spit, where, despite being wounded, he managed to exit the battlefield. He bravely fought in the Izyum direction in Donetsk region. Thanks to people like Oleksandr, Ukraine stands strong.
Unfortunately, on May 5, 2025, his life was cut short near Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region. His twin brother, who was always by his side, continues to defend Ukraine.
Oleksandr was a loving husband and father of two daughters. We have lost a brave warrior, a reliable colleague, and a sincere person. Eternal and bright memory to the hero!
