Oleksandr SAMBORYK
Oleksandr was born on September 27, 1984, in the city of Mykolaiv. After studying at the Mykolaiv Railway Transport Technical School, he chose a path that he remained faithful to until his last breath. In August 2004, Oleksandr joined the railway family, starting his career as a track machine operator.
Almost his entire work biography was dedicated to servicing steel highways. While working at the Znamianka Center for Mechanization of Track Works, he advanced to the position of a 3rd category locksmith.
Oleksandr Mykhailovych Samboryk, a locksmith for track machines and a brave soldier of the mechanized troops, died on September 21, 2024, defending Ukraine's sovereignty. The life of the Defender was cut short while performing a combat mission in the hottest Donetsk direction. He passed away just six days before his 40th birthday.
Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally disciplined and responsible worker.
Oleksandr was the true "soul of the team," a person whose presence supported team spirit and who was always ready to help his colleagues.
Outside of work, Oleksandr was an active and versatile person. He was passionate about football and had a reputation as a "jack of all trades." His son, Maksym, remembers his father as someone who could do anything and always found time for the proper upbringing of his children, surrounding them with love and support.
On July 27, 2024, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Although his military journey was short, he managed to prove himself as a brave and dedicated warrior, becoming an example for his comrades in the mechanized troops.
Oleksandr is survived by his mother, son, and daughter.
The team of the Znamianka Center for Mechanization of Track Works at JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its heads in deep sorrow and respect in memory of their colleague. Oleksandr Mykhailovych gave the most valuable thing for our freedom—his life. His courage, dedication, and many years of work for the benefit of the railway will forever remain in our memory. Eternal memory and honor to our Hero!
