Oleksandr SELEZNOV
Oleksandr Seleznov was born in the village of Spasiv in the Rivne region. He graduated from the local school. He dedicated nearly 18 years to the railway, working as a trackman in the Brody track section of the regional branch "Lviv Railway." His colleagues recall that Oleksandr had a unique knack for management, eagerly taking on challenging tasks, and he practically single-handedly carried out quality renovations on his own house, setting an exemplary standard for his yard.
His experience and skills as a railway worker proved useful in the military as well. The hero served in the missile troops during his conscription. Since July 2021, Oleksandr began his contract service, performing the duties of a platoon master in the technical support unit of the 14th Mechanized Brigade.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr Petrovych, along with his comrades, faced the first blows from the invaders in the Kyiv region, thwarting the enemy's plans for a swift attack. Later, he carried out combat missions in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
A brief leave from the front to his native village of Spasiv was an incredible comfort for Oleksandr Petrovych's family, relatives, and friends. Unfortunately, this time he saw his loved ones for the last time.
58-year-old senior soldier Oleksandr Seleznov was killed on September 15, 2024, as a result of a massive enemy shelling while performing a combat mission near the village of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region.
The serviceman was buried in his hometown of Spasiv.
The team at the Brody track section deeply mourns this irreparable loss. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Oleksandr Seleznov's family and friends. The bright memory of our brave colleague and hero, who gave his life for Ukraine, will live on forever!
