Valentin Khochenkоv
Valentyn Volodymyrovych Khochenkо was born on May 28, 1988, in the village of Pykovets, Koziatyn district, Vinnytsia region.
From October 8, 2014, he worked in the production unit "Koziatyn Repair Car Depot" of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" as a train assembler of the 4th category. He dedicated more than 10 years to the railway.
Valentyn was a very responsible, hardworking, sociable, and communicative employee, a good son to his parents, a caring husband to his wife, and a wonderful father to his children.
On February 17, 2025, Valentyn was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a soldier and bravely fulfilling his military duty. On April 6, 2025, during a combat mission, he sustained a shrapnel wound to the head and tragically died on the battlefield in the vicinity of the settlement of Huyevo in the Sudzha district of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation while fighting for Ukraine, its freedom, and independence.
Valentyn was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Koziatyn."
We sincerely sympathize with the family. The deceased is survived by his parents, wife, and two minor children.
