Andriy SHEVCHENKO

Andriy was born in Kropyvnytskyi and spent his childhood in the village of Mala Pomichna in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated from the Znamianka Lyceum, where he obtained a qualification as a foreman for the maintenance and repair of railway tracks and structures. He worked for the Dnipro Railway in Dnipro.

In 2004, he was drafted for mandatory military service. In September 2016, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kostyantyn Hordiienko and participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Colleagues remember him as a decent, kind person and a responsible worker.

After completing his contract, Andriy married his beloved, Tetiana.

37-year-old Andriy Shevchenko was killed on February 24, 2023, near the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

He is survived by a young daughter.
