Anatoliy SMULSKYI
Anatoliy was born in the village of Hryhorivka, Vinnytsia region. He worked as an inspector-repairman for the car maintenance point (PTO) in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, part of the "Zhmerynka Operational Car Depot." He dedicated over 17 years of his life to the railway.
From the first days of the war, on February 25, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, honorably defending our land.
Anatoliy Smulskyi was killed on September 5, 2022, during artillery fire while carrying out combat missions to defend against the Russian aggressor in Mykolaiv region.
Colleagues remember him as a reliable person who was always ready to help. In his private life, he was a wonderful father and a loving grandfather. He loved life, was an experienced hunter, a skilled beekeeper, and enjoyed fishing. His best relaxation was in the forest with his family.
For his personal bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree and a medal for participation in the anti-terrorist operation.
Anatoliy is survived by his wife and two children.
The team at the Zhmerynka Operational Car Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their colleague with indescribable sorrow. His courage, recognized by the Order of "For Courage," and his love for life and family will remain our eternal example. Glory to the Hero!
