Anatoliy Voytovych
Anatoliy was born in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Vinnytsia region. He worked as a driver of motor vehicles in the Zhmerinka protective afforestation unit.
In 2014–2015, Anatoliy participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), for which he was awarded the Presidential Award of Ukraine "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" in 2016. On February 25, 2022, he once again took up arms to defend his homeland, serving as the commander of the security platoon of the material support battalion.
56-year-old Senior Sergeant Anatoliy Voytovych was killed on July 17, 2022, in Mykolaiv as a result of a missile strike.
Anatoliy loved nature and dreamed of moving back to his native village after retirement to engage in gardening, farming, and his favorite hobby—fishing. He also planned to raise his beloved grandchildren. Those close to him remember him as a hardworking, kind, compassionate, sincere, humane, and fair person, someone you could turn to for advice.
The deceased is survived by his wife Hanna Oleksiivna, children, and grandchildren.
The team of the Zhmerinka protective afforestation unit of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. This driver, ATO veteran, and platoon commander, who dreamed of a quiet life in nature with his grandchildren, bravely stood up to defend the country. Eternal glory to the Defender!
