Andriy Kudelya
Andriy lived in the village of Yablunets in the Zhytomyr region. He worked as a passenger train conductor in the carriage section at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station for Ukrzaliznytsia.
The young man had already served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, he was a conductor on evacuation trains—helping Ukrainians reach safer regions, calming, comforting, and supporting passengers. On April 6, 2022, Andriy rejoined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 1st Battalion of Fire Support of the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade.
22-year-old Andriy Kudelya was killed on May 7, 2022. While carrying out a combat mission near the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region, he sustained injuries incompatible with life.
He was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Andriy is survived by his mother, Olena Vasylivna.
The team of the carriage section at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their young conductor. This brave worker, who first saved passengers on evacuation trains and then courageously defended Donetsk as part of the 95th Air Assault Brigade, is a model of patriotism. His heroic deed and the Order of "For Courage" will forever remain in our memory!
