Andriy Kurochenko

Andrii Kurochenko, born in 1988, died on September 9, 2023, while performing a combat mission due to a gunshot wound in the vicinity of the village of Troyandy in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Andriy was born in the village of Vilna Tarasivka in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv Oblast. In 2017, he began working on the railway, where he obtained the 4th category of track maintenance technician at the Fastiv track maintenance unit.

Since September 19, 2022, Andriy had been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.

Colleagues remember him as an enthusiastic, disciplined, and responsible worker. Andrii was very humane, hardworking, balanced, always diligent in his work, and never refused to help. He will be remembered as a kind, smiling, honest, decent person, and a great patriot of Ukraine.

Andriy is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

The team at the Fastiv track maintenance unit of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the irreparable loss. The track maintenance technician, who was honest, humane, and responsible, gave his life as a Warrior in Zaporizhzhia, defending his homeland. His patriotism and the bright memory of our smiling comrade will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal memory and Glory to the Hero!
