Andriy Leshchishyn
33-year-old passenger train conductor Andriy Leshchishyn was killed on August 24, 2022, as a result of a missile strike on the Chaplyne railway station in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Andriy was born in the village of Hiyche in Lviv region. He worked at the Passenger Car Depot in Lviv.
The tragedy occurred on Independence Day, when Andriy was on an evacuation train transporting people from Pokrovsk to Lviv.

The team at the Passenger Car Depot in Lviv, JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," pays tribute to the memory of their colleague. The conductor, who was carrying out a humanitarian mission—evacuating people from the East—became an innocent victim. His dedication to the profession, courage, and self-sacrifice during rescue efforts will forever remain in the history of Ukrzaliznytsia.
