Andriy MOROZ
Andriy Moroz was born in Dnipro. For 17 years, he worked as a passenger car conductor at the Dnipro Passenger Car Depot of Ukrzaliznytsia.
In 2021, he enlisted in the National Guard of Ukraine, serving in the 2nd Division of Special Purpose Reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Systems. He was an operator of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Everyone spoke of Andrii as a responsible, determined, and hardworking person who always kept his word and never let anyone down. He had an unbreakable will to live and knew how to support others in difficult times. These character traits helped him during the war. Andrii was remembered by all as sincere and positive. Friends recall that he was the life of the party and a natural leader. Andriy dreamed of returning home and embracing all his loved ones when the war was over, yet he couldn’t imagine life without his comrades and the endless combat missions.
Soldier Andriy Moroz was killed on May 3, 2024, near the settlement of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region as a result of intense enemy fire. He would have turned 40 in December.
Andriy is survived by his wife and a daughter born in 2006.
