Andriy SKRYPNYK
Andriy was born in the city of Zhmerinka, Vinnytsia region. Although he dreamed of enrolling in the Kharkiv University of Air Force, tradition prevailed, and he successfully graduated from a vocational school. He worked as an electrical technician for the Zhmerinka power supply distance, specializing in the repair of overhead power lines of the 5th category.
His mother, Valentyna Mykhailivna, recalls that he "grew up to be a very kind child and a true man" and "always helped everyone." His military service took place in the Odesa Border Guard Unit. On February 26, 2022, Andriy took up arms to defend his homeland, serving as a communications squad leader in the 61st Separate Steppe Brigade.
Junior Sergeant Andriy Skrypnyk was killed on December 1, 2022, near the village of Tokarivka in the Kherson district of the Kherson region while carrying out a combat mission. He would have turned 26 in two weeks.
Colleagues say that Andriy was friendly, had a kind heart, was responsible, disciplined, and a strong-spirited person.
Posthumously, Andriy was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree and the badge "For the Defense of the Homeland."
At home, his mother and grandmother were waiting for him.
