Bohdan KARMASH

Bogdan was born in the city of Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi region. He trained as a bricklayer-plasterer. After working as a builder abroad, he joined the railway in 2011. For over 12 years, he worked as a repairman for artificial structures in the Shepetivka railway section. Colleagues remember Bogdan as clever, energetic, diligent, and responsible—someone they could always rely on.

On February 27, 2023, Bogdan was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and underwent training in Estonia, after which he went to the front lines.

Tragically, Bogdan lost his life on May 29, 2023, while in a combat zone in Donetsk region (near Bakhmut).

He was a loving son and father.

Bogdan is survived by his mother and adult son, Maksym.

The team at the Shepetivka railway section of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" remembers Bogdan with sadness. His diligence, energy, and paternal love will forever be etched in our memory. Eternal memory to the Hero!
