Denys Kartov

On October 2, 2023, Denys joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 2nd Anti-Tank Section of the Fire Support Platoon of the 8th Air Assault Company.
38-year-old soldier Denys Kartov died on December 20, 2023, near the village of Terny in the Donetsk region from an explosive injury.
Denys's fiancée, Lyudmyla, remembers him as a true village guy—kind, accommodating, sociable, and always ready to help. He was prepared to protect his woman, courted her beautifully, and planned a long and happy life with his wife and "a bunch of kids." Denys went to the front as a volunteer.
Denys is survived by his mother, Oleksandra Ivanivna, and his fiancée, Lyudmyla.
The team of the Lower Dnipro Track Division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in deep, unspeakable sorrow before Denys Kartov. His courage, camaraderie, and great sacrifice will forever be our symbol of bravery. A low bow and eternal honor to the Defender!
