Denys Sheremetenko

Denys was born and lived in the Malynskyi district of the Zhytomyr region. He obtained a qualification as an electrical mechanic. After serving in the army, he worked at the Malynskyi depot, and since 2016, he served as a 6th grade contact network electrician at the Korosten electrical supply distance.

Colleagues remember him as a kind, sincere, honest, and decent person, a loyal and reliable friend who performed his duties diligently and was respected by all. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

He had combat experience: in 2014, Denys went to defend Ukraine, serving as a gunner for the Grad multiple rocket launcher system. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went to the Donetsk direction, serving as a senior gunner in the 95th Zhytomyr Air Assault Brigade.

31-year-old Denys Sheremetеnkо was killed on March 24, 2023, near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region from enemy sniper fire. A month before his death, he had turned 31.

Denys is survived by his mother.
